If it’s done well, a video is a direct reflection of how you see the world. It incorporates movement and sound and has the ability to share a story. It earns your business profits while you sleep.
Although a solid marketing strategy includes a number of moving parts including graphic design, the written word, photos and physical assets, video is that one great differentiator that lets you share specific messages and have a conversation with a potential client before you’ve even met them.
Think of the interactions that you have every day – the ideas that you share, and the moments that you wish you could bottle up and save for later. This is the value in good video.
All this is why video is your most powerful marketing asset.
When I first began making videos for small businesses – it was out of necessity. I was only a photographer at the time, and I was looking for ways of making my services more valuable.
How could I use my camera, make a living with it, and solve problems for people so they could find value in our working relationship?
I found the art of filmmaking, and I started doing it for small businesses. The demand for what I was doing continued to grow and grow, and I got better and better at what I was doing.
I’ve seen my videos get my clients highly engaged and devoted new employees.
I’ve seen my videos get my clients new projects – that they were only able to land because they could show the customer exactly what made their process unique.
I’ve seen my videos help fill up venues. I’ve seen my videos spread word about community events and the history of a town.
I’ve seen my videos inspire change and give thanks to large groups of people as a whole.
The act of filmmaking is the art of sharing a story – and every business has a story to share. And this experience isn’t unique to only myself. There are thousands of filmmakers like myself working with small business owners just like you.
We’re all using our skillsets to help businesses share stories and drive results in their work.
The medium is powerful, and I’m grateful to be able to use it to help business owners achieve positive growth in their companies.
