That’s why when Bissell’s Hideaway Resort, a well-established campground and cabin rental facility in Niagara, approached us looking for ways to improve their marketing, we suggested we start by running their social media accounts.
What Does Social Media Management Involve?
At the heart of running an active and useful social media account for any business is content creation.
The fundamental aspects of our approach to social media management for our clients at four32 Media are photography, videography, copywriting and consistent posting.
For Bissell’s, we scheduled several on-location photography and videography shoots before and during their busy season.
We used the content we created from our series of shoots for their social media posts, Facebook ads and their website.
The One-Two Punch
If visual content is king, then copywriting and delivery are queen.
We don’t just post a photo or a video when we’re finished editing them - we use strategic copywriting to accompany the visual components of our content to convey a particular message to the target audience.
Since Bissell’s is a business in the hospitality and tourism industry, primarily appealing to families, we chose to use a playful, uplifting and professional tone for our copywriting.
We wanted their customers to know that Bissell’s is a fun place to be, with high-quality facilities and a friendly atmosphere that’s perfect for families.
Insights
We started running their social media accounts in 2022, and shortly after we saw huge growth on their Facebook and Instagram pages during their busy season from June-August.
But these news likes and follows didn’t come out of nowhere - we were reaching completely new audiences on their channels from our strategic use of hashtags and content creation.
In order to attract new followers to look further into the Bissell’s brand, we needed to create content that appealed to their target audience.
The good news is that our plan worked! We increased our reach by creating captivating content and we saw gains in their page and profile visits.
But it didn’t end there - we created Facebook ads to sell day-passes and we were able to convert leads into paying customers.
Closing
Though summer is gone and the busy season is over for Bissell’s, we’re still able to run their channels to keep their customers engaged.
We want their target audience to think of Bissell’s when it comes time to plan their 2023 vacations.
